Let's start off with...... YES WE ARE PROBABLY NUTZ!!!!   But...... We are not going to spend our retirement sitting around watching the grass grow....

We are going to spend some time doing a colossal ROAD TRIP!!!

As everyone probably knows by now we have had a wonderful addiction through the last 20+ years, it is called Geocaching. As of today, the 21st of December 2024, we have found 6,847 geocaches covering 10 countries and 23 states. What does that have to do with anything other than being nutz you ask? Well with 23 states down leaves us with 27 left to do, RIGHT??? Are you getting the picture yet? Retirement, sitting on our asses, NO WE SAY... That spells EXTENDED ROAD TRIP!!! (sitting on our asses)

NUTZ??? Let's add another log to the nutz fire..... We are going to do this in our van..... Again, ARE WE NUTZ you ask......

The following will be a chroniclization of our adventure. It will start with what we have to do to prep the van, and ourselves for an extended adventure across the USA, followed by a log of our adventures along the way. Check back in often as this adventure will have a LOT of entries we are sure!

Step One, Van Contortion

The plan is to make the van a sort of moving home base, with periodic stops at motels along the way. As we don't want to do a full on "Conversion" of the van, lets call it a "Redneck Contortion", ya that's it, a "contortion", why not... Sure, we are not in our 60's, we are hippies of the 60's right? What are you smoking you ask? Well sorry, that was part of the 60's that was given up decades ago...

Step Two, Planning

After all, it does involve month's and month's of being on the road right?.....
Well Maybe, depending on how many police parking lots we spend the night in....
