Our annual Oregon Coast trip this year found us celebrating Jim's Birthday with all of his family!
Ocean Trip December 2025
2025 is the year we spent quite a bit of time on the Oregon Coast. First our trip to the south coast, and then once again our annual family pre-Christmas trip to the central coast. And like last year, Happy Birthday Jim!
This year we were in Depot Bay at a great 5+ bedroom house right on Pirate Cove. The week started off great with sunny skies and calm winds. That quickly changed as the following day the storms came in for the entire week. Great for watching the king tides and crashing waves on the rocks, but not so great for walking and exploring. But hey, when the sun don't shine you play games and eat right??? And again the Side Door Cafe treated us to a fantastic parting meal the day before we all left. We did get out and braved the weather a few times, and the agates were what we were rewarded with! Speaking of leaving, guess what? Yup you guessed it, the sun was shining, the wind was calm, and we spent the last few hours enjoying the Oregon coast before heading back to Bend!
